Alright. All you need to do is just ADD a new folder and name it in c\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes\(Whatever You Want). That's all you need to do. Cause I checked it out. You will, however, need to keep goin' there and click on it if you want to get the theme to work.
Very good work, I think. I do have a request though. At work my computer is LOCKED down to the MAX. I work at a government agency. So far I've been changing my fonts to "Calibri", etc in order to get some of that Vista look onto my desktop. Since I do not have WinRAR, can you provide this theme in a ZIP format? I'd like to at least see what's inside of it, but I can't. Thanks.
<3 This is really good!~ I really like the shininess, haha. *loves shiny things* Overall, amazing job on it.
Though curious, before I install it, is it possible for using Vista themes to screw up your Windows XP? I heard there's a chance that using it can mess your computer up if you decide to revert back to XP themes. I don't know, maybe they were talking about WindowsBlinds... or whatever it was called. The exact name escapes me. ):
But yeah. I saw stuff about taking a precaution by making a restore point or something...
I wasn't really sure, but I thought I'd ask, just in case so nothing will go wrong, y'know? :'D
Very Nice Theme! Love it. just 1 problem, actually more of a ?. How did u get the big video, music, and picture icons/pics to show up in the backround?
i wanted to put one in the my docs folder. if ne one knows how respond, or email me firstname.lastname@example.org
Love the theme, using the 32px, but why is it when I change the font for the window titles, do I lose part of the top of each window and the three buttons at the top right?
I've installed the Segoe UI font from a Vista system (which is what I was using on the standard XP theme and looked very nice), but using it or any other font for the Active and Inactive window title cause this problem
a slight problem - i find that my startmenu, the avatar isn't inside the box like how it is on your screenshot. perhaps it has something to do with the fact that i use a widescreen laptop. also, the vista logo next to the user name in the start menu is blurry (not 48px?)
It would be great if you could touch up on those few things and update again - it is so close to being perfect!
